Forgotten veteran
Lusaka, Zambia — “In 2018, while making a documentary, I had the honour of meeting and interviewing Jaston Khosa who was one of the last surviving WWII veterans of Britain’s colonial army. In May 2020, he passed away aged 95 at his home in a Zambian shantytown where he lived with his family in abject poverty. A few days later on VE Day, as the world commemorated the end of the war in which he had served, he was laid to rest”
Limited edition Giclee print measuring 8” x 12” or 12” x 18” (20.3 x 30.5cm or 30.5 x 45.7cm). Signed on border. Unframed.
The image is printed on Canson Baryta, a smooth and light-gloss paper renowned for its excellent black density, vivid colours and reproduction of detail. Hahnemühle bamboo paper is also available — a more eco-friendly alternative that offers a matt finish and natural, warm-toned feel.
