Kaga Bandoro, Central African Republic — “The day before, I’d touched down on a bumpy airstrip in CAR’s rebel-held north. Either side of the makeshift runway was a displacement camp housing thousands of families who had fled militia attacks in the surrounding area. The following day I spent time in the camp to interview residents and came across this family who had found some shade from the midday sun. Temperatures there can hit more than 40°C while the forgotten nature of this crisis means that resources to look after these thousands of displaced people are simply not enough and stretched to breaking point”
Limited edition Giclee print measuring 8” x 12” or 12” x 18” (20.3 x 30.5cm or 30.5 x 45.7cm). Signed on border. Unframed.
The image is printed on Canson Baryta, a smooth and light-gloss paper renowned for its excellent black density, vivid colours and reproduction of detail. Hahnemühle bamboo paper is also available — a more eco-friendly alternative that offers a matt finish and natural, warm-toned feel.
