Kaga Bandoro, Central African Republic — “Kaga Bandoro just had bad vibes. One half of the town had been turned into a giant camp for thousands of families displaced by fighting. The other half was run by the MPC rebel group, a particularly nasty militia whose warlord commander had a base nearby. At night, I’d hear the rebels letting off AK47 rounds into the air; by day they’d glower menacingly along the main, dusty street. Regardless, life still continued and I was struck by these three women as they strode nonchalantly past a UN armoured vehicle on the way to the market, seemingly detached from the madness”
Limited edition Giclee print measuring 8” x 12” or 12” x 18” (20.3 x 30.5cm or 30.5 x 45.7cm). Signed on border. Unframed.
