A long drive
A long drive
Bamingui, Central African Republic — “The dirt road from the rebel-held towns of Kaga Bandoro to N’Dele in northern CAR is long, hot and rutted with potholes. It’s a full day’s drive and the sun is punishing. This group of men, women and children were taking that road, crammed onto the back of a pickup driven by a few rebel soldiers up front. I was living up there for a week, documenting conservation efforts at a nearby national park, and heard these guys were passing and taking a rest. I headed over, had a chat and took a few photos before they set off on their long journey north again”
Limited edition Giclee print measuring 8” x 12” or 12” x 18” (20.3 x 30.5cm or 30.5 x 45.7cm). Signed on border. Unframed.
The image is printed on Canson Baryta, a smooth and light-gloss paper renowned for its excellent black density, vivid colours and reproduction of detail. Hahnemühle bamboo paper is also available — a more eco-friendly alternative that offers a matt finish and natural, warm-toned feel.
